Forum Snowboards were bought out by Burton 4 years ago and their construction gets better and better every year, not to mention they have been one of the most influential teams in snowboarding history. I first came to know about Forum through watching a little video they call Decade. Decade was the greatest snowboard video ever made and was the beginning of my snowboard addiction, I've seriously watched that video more than 400 times. I'd have to say I wasn't feeling these when I first saw them on some hype site on the web about a month or so ago.......but I was way wrong today when we got them in. This is probably one of the best looking and most unique shoe I've seen in a while. You notice some major detailing on this shoe with the duct tape side panels, cracked leather upper, yellow translucent midsole and thick nylon tongue with red drip design from the Shoe Goo packaging. We are releasing them tomorrow (Wednesday 9-17-08) at the Viera store.

One of our customers hooked us up big time the other night and brought some kind of magic leather cleaner into the shop that he tried out on our white leather croc couch. We almost hit the floor when he was done! It looks amazing! In fact....I'm thinking about throwing a plastic cover over it like your grandma would do.

Here's what happened...Transworld got 4 teams: DVS, Osiris, Globe and Emerica. Each team was represented by 5 skaters. They spent 9 days in the TWS warehouse with the intent to make something out of nothing, using what ever they wanted. Forget all this garbage about the Tampa Bay Bucs.....The true buccos are the Pittsburgh Pirates! REAL TALK! Took in a game the other night........AMAZING!.....PNC park, hands down best park in MLB (probably until NY finishes their $1.3 Billion....yes Billion with a B....stadium - I hate the Yankees). Fans are great also.....the Pirates suck and still had a packed house on a Wednesday night. We got there late...but I still got to see a Pittsburgh dinger and a double play.......I also scored me a sick new hat and Joe copped an old school one.

Friday night we had our second of three live music events at VRS Viera. The band featured was Quiet Science (you might have heard of them as A Denver Mile). It was the first time we had a full setup in the shop (elec guitar, bass, drums, keys). We were worried a little about the acoustics, but it sounded great! They put on a great show and they have a great sound!! Big thanks to Nate, Rob, Daisy Elizabeth & Barrett ......we loved the music and hopefully we can do this again soon!

Jon, Scott, and Erik went to Kona a while ago for our buddy Koki's birthday. It was a blast. Snake run after snake run. Someone decided to get creative and luge it and this is what happened. That's the birthday boy that falls out of the screen to the left.

until his ankle heals. I went to Europe with my girlfriend, Sandy, to visit my mother in Holland. I was lucky enough to watch the finals of AmsterDam Am 2008, which takes place at Everland Skatepark in Amsterdam. If you want to see the footy from the contest you can peep it on Vital Skate. Then we went to Norway to visit Sandy's family. This is a small sample package.

Norway is beautiful! I went fishing and caught a foot and a half long squid in these waters!

We are throwing the first of three live music events at the shop in Viera this Friday night at 9PM......so we went to the shop tonight for a mini jam sesh and to test the sound. It actually sounds better in there then we all thought it would.....plus we really didn't have the best equipment going.....Joe's drums need tuning, my old Fender amp has come to the end of it's useful life, I had some junk mic up on a camera tri-pod, we were running some 5 string bass thru the PA.....yeah it was pretty wack.......but we still rocked!!! So......make sure to make it out this Friday night. Junior Doctor is playing ........and don't worry....we won't be opening for them.

We're gonna be having 3 Fridays of events in a row for the back to school season at our Viera store.

August 1st Junior Doctor will be playing an acoustic set and August 8th we're gonna have Quiet Science (formally A Denver Mile) playing a full set.

These are the first shows we've ever put on so make sure you come out and support!

August 15th it's the Nike SB party with DJ JSTORM spinning on the ones and twos along with your first chance to snag a handful of quickstrikes unavailable until this night.

In other news, there's an indoor park going up in Gainesville, Fl called GSP. Construction of the street course is near completion. Just gotta put a few last touches on it. From what I've seen and heard it's gonna be wild with a lot of original architecture. You'll be hearing more about this park in the near future...I'm sure of it. Hopefully we can get some pics soon and more info on opening dates.

BIG RIGGIN' 08....WHAT HAPPENED????????

I know all of you are wondering what went down yesterday.....well here is the brief update. At 2PM it rained like a hurricane and destroyed tents and flooded the site. We thought it was going to let up....but it didn't. At 4:30 with it still raining we had to make a call to call the thing or not. The County said that there was a large rain system that had lightning that was following the system that had just passed and that is was going to come in another 45mins. So with that said we both agreed to cancel the event. Then it started to clear up and everything was looking good....and it looked like we could pull it off.....so we went back to the County to try to tell them that we wanted to now GO FOR IT!!! However....they stood firm on their decision and kept the event cancelled for safety reasons. We could do nothing about it. You can't fight mother nature or the County when it comes to public safety!

So......we decided to move the whole thing to the Paradise skatepark in Merritt Island where our other shop is. My brother Jake came up with the quick idea to throw a bench at the bottom of the six stair and just do a best trick over that. The skatepark was packed! The 45 min jam sesh went down....and when it was all over our boy and VRS team rider John Cornell took third place and $250 with a backside 360, Brent Sowinski from Westside took second and $500 with a switch backside heel flip, and our boy Matt Fink (who took 2nd last year in Big Riggin) came back this year to get his switch tre.......well he did....and it took first place and $1000.

In the end it turned out to be a pretty good GSD '08. Big thanks to all the reps for sponsoring the event and kicking down the product for the product toss, Element Andy for coming out, Dennis at Paradise for letting us use the park at the last minute, Jim and his boy that filmed for 411 for coming out, Kevin from Calvary for letting us use his PA last minute....and I can't forget my whole crew that worked for months trying to make this whole thing happen...Joe, Jimmy, James, Bobby, Jake, Sam, Tommy, Josh, Justin, Nate, Ricky, Erik....and everyone else that had a hand in this thing - THANKS!

We shot this one day outside of a skate park in Gainesville. No one ever skates these bike racks so we figured we'd take care of that. Scott just rolled along side while I did a few ollies. We did it a few times to get a nice looking sequence. I got the worst shinner on the try after this one and had to quit.

The Consolidated crew (Mike Peterson, Kyle Berard, Roberto Aleman and Brent Abramsky) after a pretty impressive showing at the Tampa Pro (3rd place Mike Peterson, 6th place Kyle Berard), dropped by the Paradise skatepark in MI for a demo with the VRS team. Erik, Joe, Louis and CJ came out for VRS along with Element AM Jimmy Lannon who drove down with Erik from Gator Country. The demo turned into a chill session with everyone skating including all the regulars and locals who were there that night. Thanks to Paradise for throwing the demo with us, Damiana at ocean for keeping us posted, Leticia at consolidated for setting it up, Bobby at VRS for being the go-to guy, all the riders, and Ricky for taking my lame Sony hand held and filming this 1 min video!

Brighton Utah Snowboard Trip!

Just got back from Brighton Utah! The VRS crew....Joe, Jimmy, Dan, Jake, Sam, Tommy along with friends Kevin and Jim from NY....spent 4 days killing it in UTAH. Locals told us that this was the most snow they have had up there in 15yrs! It was amazing! Every morning we walked from our lodge only 40 feet to the lift to be the first on the hill! That place lives up to it's motto by being the "Greatest snow on earth"!!!

Last night we set up a bed sheet at Joe's pool side cabana to watch Lakai's fully flared. Justin, Tommy, Joe, LEJ, Seeyore, filmer Ricky, Ricky Bobby, and Wake were in attendance. Let me start by saying that it was definitely worth the wait! The intro had us cracking up, Mike Mo's opener could have been a closer for any other video, Jesus Fernandez was amazing!, Biebel was solid, and we all were still amazed at what Carroll, Koston, Guy and Marc Johnson still bring to the table.....a must see!
